Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while residents in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to drinking water, as stated by city officials.

Meanwhile, a minor was killed in a separate assault in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "concrete actions" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and enforcing restrictions," he wrote in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.

A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor died and multiple civilians were hurt.

The assaults come after nights of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The entire country is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to detect.

National leaders told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were anticipating further attacks.
